huge update - 01-03-07

Wow... again... lagging on the entries here. I guess cause not much has been changeing for me for awhile.... But recently, some important changes have been made to the health. Thought I would come here and update said progress.

Well, for one, I have started takeing more suppliments then ever before. With my very restricted diet I sometimes worry I am missing some random vitamin or element and am not at my peak. Plus, working two jobs now, one of which being physically labor intense, I needed more energy. So I added- more fish oils- borage seed oils- phsylium husks to my juices- some selenium as I worry about my thyroid still and then one mega multi vitamin to cover any spots missed. Recently I added CLA to my list too, but I am just giving it this bottle, then I may stop. I keep reading really conflicting things about whether it is good for you or not. And with the onset of winter, I stopped growing my wheat grass as there just isnt enough light comeing through my little basement windows. So I bought some wheat grass pills- not as good as the real thing, but better than nothing I figure.

I have cut my coffee consumption well under half of what it used to be. Two to three cups is all I am allowed now. The rest of the day if I really think I need a boost I have some green tea. I have gotten my water drinking up. Never been fond of the stuff so thats been a challenge. Im drinking 4 liters a day if I work just the one job and 8 liters if I work both places. Havent had a soda in forever and ever. So, I guess I feel I have my liquid in check, my food in check, my pills in check and all that remains is my excercize.

Ive never ever liked the stuff. I mean, if I am doing something fun, like kayaking or basketball- I love it! And at work, I push these heavy carts with heavy people all over the dang place- at LEAST 20, 000 steps- thats about 10 miles a shift.. And most times its more... but thats fine. Its the dedicated - ok - we are excercising that I hate. So.... I finally found some things I think are fun. Have a treadmill- rarely if ever use it- have had bikes- never use- etc etc- But about a month ago I got a stability ball and I really really love it. I then found a trampoline- and thats a freaking blast and a really good work out- not to mention rebounding does amazing things for your lymphatic (sp?) system. And then most recently, a bouncy punching bag- not a big heavy barely swinging one- but this punching ball on a springy stick. Its more like sparring cause the thing moves so much and comes back at you really fast- I have way too much fun with that. And soon mayo will have its new employee gym upgrade finished and then I will be there more I think- because I really do love swimming.

So... thats that- getting everything really in line. I just want to be in the best shape and condition I can be. Not bulky, but tight. Hopefully, by summer I will be.
